عنوان فارسی مقایسه نشانگرهای استرس اکسیداتیو و پروفایل آنتی اکسیدانتی در بیماران مبتلا به گلوکوم اولیه زاویه باز و افراد سالم
چکیده فارسی مقاله زمینه: گلوکوم اولیه زاویه باز (POAG) یکی ازعلت‌های نابینایی غیرقابل برگشت است .تغییر پروفایل اکسیدان/آنتی‌اکسیدان سرمی در پاتولوژی‌های چشمی گزارش شده است. هدف این مطالعه مقایسه نشانگرهای استرس اکسیداتیو و پروفایل آنتی‌اکسیدانی در بیماران مبتلا به گلوکوم اولیه زاویه باز و افراد سالم می‌باشد. روش‌ها: این مطالعه برروی 84 فرد بیمار مبتلا به POAG (44 مرد و 40 زن) و80 فرد سالم (37 مرد و43 زن) مراجعه‌کننده به بخش چشم بیمارستان‌ حضرت رسول انجام گرفت. در این مطالعه میزان ظرفیت تام آنتی اکسیدانتی پلاسما (TAC)، غلظت مالون دی آلدئید (MDA)، میزان گلوتاتیون گلبول های قرمز و محصولات ناشی از اکسیداسیون پیشرفته (AOPP) اندازه‌گیری و مقایسه شد. یافته‌ها: سطوح سرمی TAC گروه بیماران مبتلا به POAG در قیاس با افراد کنترل به‌طور معناداری کاهش یافته بود (001/0P=) درحالی‌که سطوح سرمی MDA در این بیماران، به‌طور معنادار افزایش نشان داد (025/0P=). همچنین افزایش معناداری در غلظت گلوتاتیون گلبول‌های قرمز بیماران مبتلا به گلوکوم اولیه در مقایسه با افراد سالم مشاهده گردید (016/0P≤). نتیجه‌گیری: افزایش قابل توجه اکسیداسیون لیپیدی و پروتئینی و همچنین کاهش قابل توجه ظرفیت تام آنتی‌اکسیدانی در بیماران POAG در قیاس با افراد سالم، ممکن است اشاره به نقش پاتولوژیکی افزایش آسیب اکسیداتیو در بیماری گلوکوم اولیه زاویه باز داشته باشد.

عنوان انگلیسی Comparative study of the oxidative stress markers and antioxidant profile in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and healthy subjects
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background: Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is the leading cause of irreversible blindness. The serum oxidant/antioxidant profile alteration has been reported in ocular pathologies. The aim of this study was to compare the oxidative stress markers and antioxidant profile in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and healthy subjects. Methods: This study was conducted on 84 POAG patients (40 women and 44 men) and 80 healthy subjects (43 women and 37 men) referring to department of ophthalmology at Hazrat Rasol hospital. In this study, the total plasma antioxidant capacity (TAC), malonyldialdehyde (MDA) concentration, erythrocyte glutathione (GLT) and advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) were measured and compared. Results: The serum levels of TAC in patients with POAG significantly decreased than those of the healthy subjects (p< 0.001), while the MDA levels in these patients increased significantly (p< 0.025). Also, the red blood cell glutathione level in patients with POAG was significantly increased compared with healthy subjects (p< 0.016). Conclusion: Significant enhancement of lipid and protein oxidation and an remarkable reduction of total antioxidant capacity in POAG patients compared to healthy subjects may indicate the pathological role of rising oxidative damage in primary open-angle glaucoma.
