عنوان فارسی بررسی صحت تشخیص رادیوگرافی‏های معمولی در افتراق ضایعات خوش‏خیم از بدخیم ناحیه فک و صورت
چکیده فارسی مقاله مقدمه: در ناحیه فک و صورت، تومورها و کیست ها شیوع نسبتاً بالایی داشته و دندانپزشکان در طی یک بررسی معمول رادیوگرافی، ممکن است بطور اتفاقی با آنها برخوردکنند. با توجه به استفاده گسترده از رادیوگرافی پانورامیک معمولی در ارزیابی روتین ساختار فکین و دندان ها و نیز ارزانی و در دسترس بودن این تکنیک ها نسبت به انواع اختصاصی، ارزیابی صحت تشخیص ضایعات خوش‏خیم از بدخیم در رادیوگرافی‏های معمولی ضروری به نظر می رسد. مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه توصیفی، تمامی پرونده های مرتبط با ضایعات داخل استخوانی فک و صورت در یک دوره 6 ساله (از سال 1380 تا 1387) که در بخش های مختلف (رادیولوژی، جراحی، بیماری های دهان) دانشکده دندانپزشکی مشهد موجود بودند، جمع آوری شدند. سپس تصاویر رادیوگرافی توسط یک نفر متخصص رادیولوژی فک و صورت و یک مشاهده گر بررسی شده و با توجه به یافته های رادیوگرافی، در درجه اول خوش‏خیم و یا بدخیم بودن ضایعات و در مرحله بعد نوع آنها مشخص شد. سرانجام با استفاده از آزمون McNemar نتایج حاصل از بررسی رادیوگرافی و هیستوپاتولوژی با هم مقایسه شدند. یافته ها: از میان 136ضایعه داخل استخوانی فک و صورت، 116 ضایعه خوش‏خیم و 20 ضایعه بدخیم بودند. در 19 ضایعه از میان ضایعات بدخیم، تشخیص رادیوگرافی با نتیجه بررسی هیستوپاتولوژیک موافق بود و از 116 ضایعه خوش‏خیم، 107 ضایعه در بررسی رادیوگرافی خوش‏خیم تشخیص داده شد. یک ارتباط معنی داری بین یافته های رادیوگرافی و هیستوپاتولوژی بدست آمد (021/0P=). نتیجه گیری: در این مطالعه، تشخیص رادیوگرافی‏های معمولی، در 92%از موارد با نتایج هیستوپاتولوژی (از نظر خوش خیم یا بدخیم بودن ضایعات) مطابقت داشت.

عنوان انگلیسی Accuracy of Conventional Radiography in Differentiating Between Benign Lesions and Malignant Ones in the Maxillofacial Region
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Introduction: In the maxillofacial region, cysts and tumors relatively have high prevalence and during a current study of radiography, the dentists may incidentally encounter them. According to the wide usage of the conventional panoramic radiography in routine study of dentoalveolar structure and the availability and cheapness of this technique, it seems necessary to determine the accuracy of conventional radiography in diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions. Materials & Methods: In this descriptive study, all the cases with intraosseous lesions of maxillofacial region over a six-year period (2002-2008) from the archives of the radiography, surgery and oral health departments at Mashhad school of dentistry were collected. Then radiographic images were studied by one maxillofacial radiologist as an observer and according to the radiographic features, the state of being malignant or benign and then the type of lesions were diagnosed. Finally the findings of radiographic and histopathologic studies were compared using McNemar test. Results: From 136 intraosseous lesions, 116 lesions were benign and 20 lesions were malignant. From 20 malignant lesions, in 19 cases the radiographic and histopathologic diagnosis was the same and from the 116 benign lesions, 107 cases were diagnosed benign in radiography. A significant relationship was also detected among radiographic and histopathologic features (P=0.021). Conclusion: In this study diagnosis of conventional radiographies, in 92% of cases, with histopathologic results (benignity or malignancy of lesions) was adapted.
