گسترش تشیع در دکن سده‌های دهم و یازدهم هجری[1] محمود صادقی علوی[2] چکیده تشیع در درازنای تاریخ خود، همواره نقاط اوجی داشته که بر پایه آنها، به شیوه‌های گوناگون گسترش می‌یافته و پیروانش در سراسر جهان، فزونی می‌گرفته‌اند. سده‌های دهم و یازدهم هجری نیز نقطه اوجی در تاریخ تشیع به شمار می‌رود؛ زیرا حکومت صفویه در این قرن در ایران تأسیس شد و با حمایت رسمی‌اش از تشیع، زمینه را برای گسترش آن در ایران فراهم آورد. هم‌زمان با حکومت صفویان در ایران، در منطقه دکن (جنوب هند) نیز روی‌دادهایی پیش آمد که آنها را می‌توان نقطه اوج تاریخ تشیع در آن‌جا خواند؛ اوجی که به‌رغم اهمیت فراوانش، نزد پژوهش‌گران حوزه تاریخ تشیع، کم‌تر شناخته شده است. این پژوهش به دنبال پاسخ به این پرسش است که تأثیر برپایی حکومت‌های محلی شیعیان در دکن سده‌های یاد شده، در گسترش تشیع در آن مناطق چه بود؟ این تحقیق بر این فرضیه استوار است که به‌رغم کوشش‌های حاکمان این حکومت‌ها در پشتیبانی از مذهب تشیع، شمار فراوانی از مردم این منطقه، به این مذهب نگرویدند، بلکه این کارها تنها زمینه را برای آشنایی آنان با تشیع و گرایش به آن در دوره‌های بعدی فراهم کرد. این مقاله با استفاده از روش کتابخانه‌ای و بررسی تطبیقی و تحلیلی منابع، با اشاره‌ای کوتاه به پیشینه حضور شیعیان در منطقه دکن، کارهای حاکمان محلی آن‌جا را در زمینه حمایت از تشیع، سیر گسترش تشیع در این منطقه و میزان گرایش مردم به این مذهب در دوره یاد شده برمی‌رسد و فرضیه‌اش را تأیید می‌کند. Expansion of Shi'ism in Deccan in the Tenth and Eleventh Centuries (AD) Mahmood Sadeghi Alavi[1] Abstract Shi'ism, throughout its history, has always experienced pinnacles upon which it has spread variously and increased the number of its followers. The tenth and eleventh centuries (AD) are among these flourishing periods. During this time, the Safavid state was founded, and with its official support, Shi'ism began to proliferate in Iran. Concurrent with the Safavid state in Iran, in Deccan (a region in southern India) some other events took place which in turn played significant roles in promoting and disseminating Shi'ism there. Despite the significance of these occurred events, few history researchers have made them subject to study. This research seeks to investigate the impact of the Shiite local governments established in Deccan on the expansion of Shi'ism there. The research is based on this hypothesis that despite the governors' support of Shi'ism, a large number of people in the area did not embrace this religion. Such attempts, however, paved the way for familiarizing the people with Shi'ism and prepared the grounds for its embracement in the later periods. The current research was conducted through library-oriented method and comparative analysis of sources. It starts with a brief introduction to the life history of Shiites in Deccan, and then reviews the attempts made by its local governors in supporting and expanding Shi'ism there, and the extent to which this religion was embraced by the people; which eventually confirms the hypothesis.
