Abstract Romanticism is not only a literary school but a movement and global campaign which encompass different fields like: literature, philosophy, social and political sciences, architecture, music, painting, cinema, etc. Historically, this school culminated in the Europe of ninety century but gradually it reached to all around the Europe and even affected Un-European countries. Iran was one of these countries; the first elements of this school appeared in the poetry of its constitutional period. After that, because of scholars’ familiarity with French language, many novels translated into Farsi and hence, the authors and poets became influenced by this school. In some respect, the idiom “Romanticism” refers to common, public and popular works. The novel of Bamdade Khomar, written by Fataneh Haj Seyed Javadi is one of the best seller books among the concurrent romantic novels of this country which first published at 1995 and at later years it republished so many times. Conducted by a library method, this study in addition to a brief description on the school of romanticism and introducing its basic rules, examines its elements in the novel of Bamdade Khomar. The most important rules from school of romanticism which are observed in novel of Bamdade Khomar include: love, sympathy, unity with nature, affection and feelings, relying on imagination, nostalgia, interest in religion, dominance of mental word over real world and individualism. |
