عنوان انگلیسی Childhood hepatoblastoma: A case report
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Childhood hepatoblastoma is a rare type of embryonal primary liver tumors. The mass may be completely asymptomatic and may be discovered quite incidentally or manifested by general conditions. Early suspicion of the tumor can be raised by observing a liver mass with increased alpha fetoprotein level followed by liver ultrasonography and CT scanning, especially to detect lung metastasis. However, ultimate diagnostic confirmation is usually achieved by histological approach. Therapeutically, a complete surgical resection remains the mainstay of hepatoblasoma treatment that can be managed by postsurgical chemotherapy. Herein, we presented a case of hepatoblastoma fetal type and described our experience in its clinical management. The patient was successfully managed by surgical resection followed by chemotherapy leading complete improvement within six-month postoperative following-up.
