چکیده فارسی مقاله عملیات خیبر یکی از عملیات‌های مهم نظامی ایران در دوران هشت سال دفاع مقدس است که در زمستان سال 1362 با هدف دستیابی به جاده بصره ـ العماره در منطقه هورالعظیم اجرا شد و پشتیبانی مهندسی جنگ در آن نقش مهمی ایفا کرد. احداث پل شناور خیبر به طول حدود 14 کیلومتر به‌عنوان عقبه آبی یگان‌ها در منطقه جلویی نبرد، احداث جاده سیدالشهدا(ع) به طول 14 کیلومتر به‌عنوان عقبه خشکی و احداث خاکریزهای متعدد در نقاط گوناگون منطقه عملیات امکان پشتیانی و تدارک نیروها را که برای حفظ مناطق تصرف‌شده در این عملیات می‌کوشیدند، فراهم کرد و سبب شد تا فرماندهان به نقش تأثیرگذار و حیاتی عملیات مهندسی بیش از گذشته پی‌ببرند و از آن پس، به توان فنی مهندسی جهاد نگاه ویژه‌ای داشته باشند.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Operation Kheibarin which the war engineering supporting of Jihad played an important role is one of the major military operations in the eight-year war implemented in Hawr al-Azimarea in the winter of 1981 with the aim of achieving the Basra-to-al-Amara Road. Building a13-km floating bridge named Kheibar as thewaterrearsof the units on the forward edge of battle area, construction a 14-km road named Sayyid al-Shuhada (as) Road as the land rears and buildingseveral bulwarks in the different parts of the region all provided the Iranian military with an ability to support and supply the friendly forces who were attempting to maintain the areas secured during the operation. It caused the commanders to understand the vital and effective role of engineering operations better and better and since then to have a special look to thetechnical and engineering capabilities of Jihad.
