عنوان انگلیسی Influence of Educational Program of Cholera Disease on Nannies' Practices in the Nurseries
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objectives: In a child daycare, hygiene practices are considered as an effective measure for preventing infections. By implementing appropriate hygiene techniques and effective prevention measures, the transmission of infectious diseases such as cholera among children and young people can be limited. To assess the effectiveness  of an educational program on nannies' practices regarding cholera infection and explore any relationship between their practices and socio-demographic characteristics . Methods This study utilized a true-experimental study design (two groups, pretest-posttest design) and was conducted in nurseries located in Baghdad Governorate. An educational program focusing on the prevention of cholera disease was constructed in this study. A probability sample of 60 nannies was divided into two equal groups: the intervened group, which received the study's educational program , and the control group, which did not receive any intervention. The validation and reliability of the study were established, and data was collected using an observation checklist to evaluate the nannies' practices. The data was then analyzed using SPSS. Findings The results showed that both groups of nannies had a moderate level of practices regarding the prevention of cholera disease at the pre-intervention stage (1.00 ± 0.309 for the intervened group and 0.95 ± 0.147 for the control group). Meanwhile, the practices of the nannies in the intervened group significantly improved to a good level at the post-intervention stage (1.74 ± 0.130), however there was no change observed in the control group (0.96 ± 0.122). Conclusion In conclusion, the planned study's program has ability to improve the nannies' practices.
