چکیده انگلیسی مقاله
Objectives: To evaluate the effect of an instructional program on nurses' practices toward blood transfusion procedures. to find out the relationship between nurses' practices and their socio-demographic characteristics. Methods and Procedures: A quasi-experimental (randomized) was conducted throughout the period (October 13, 2023, to May 30, 2022) The sample consisted of (100) nurse working in two main teaching hospitals in Babylon governorate. ( Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital and Al-Hilla Teaching Hospital ). the questionnaire that was based on previous research modify it by adding or removing some paragraphs was used by the researcher in order to evaluate the level of practice possessed by nurses. Validity of the tool was identified through consultation of ten experts. The final draft of the tool composed of two part; Part One: Nurses' Socio-Demographic Data, Part two: Nurse's practice About Blood Transfusion. The practice checklist of respondent of each question was scored As for the practice part, if three valid observations are applied scored(3)If two views are correct, out of three scored( (2) they are applied If one of the three scenes scored(1). Results: There is a statistically significant difference between the pre- and post-tests for the study group at p 0.05, indicating that the effect of the instructional program between the two periods (pre- and post-test) on nurses' practices toward blood transfusion procedures. Conclusions: There was a highly significant improvement in nurses' practices toward blood transfusion procedures after the application of the instructional program.
