عنوان انگلیسی The effect of the Faye Glenn Abdellah's nursing theory on the Quality of Life of patients with cancer: A Randomized Controlled Trial
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Aims: Cancer disrupts the quality of life of patients, as well as increases the care burden of the patients' families. The current study aimed to determine the effect of Glenn Abdellah's nursing theory on quality of life and cancer patients. Materials & Methods: 60 patients were selected by simple random sampling and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. After obtaining ethical permissions and selecting samples based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, information was collected through the WHO Quality of Life scale before and after the intervention. Findings: In the experimental group, the quality of life score in patients was increasing before, after and one month after intervention there was a significant difference (p < 0.001). After elimination of the intervention and the follow-up period, the quality of life in the experimental group was better than that of the control group (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Application of nursing care theories such as Faye Glenn Abdellah's nursing theory can improve the quality of life in cancer patients.
