عنوان فارسی آمار و آرایش سپاهیان در نبرد عاشورا
چکیده فارسی مقاله پرسش اصلی مقاله این است که آیا می‌توان در خصوص واقعه عاشورا، بر اساس تحلیل گزارش­های تاریخی، به آماری درست یا نزدیک به آن درباره شمار نفرات و کشتگان دو لشکر و اسیران دست یافت؟ جز این، به آرایش جنگی سپاهیان نیز پرداخته­­ شده است. در این مقاله از شیوه تحلیل و تبیین گزارش­­­های تاریخی استفاده شده تا جزئیات روشن­تر شود و از مبالغات رایج فاصله بگیریم. حاصل این کار، برگزیدن آمارهایی معقول و پذیرفتنی­­­تر است. به عنوان نمونه می­توان به آمار سپاهیان کوفه اشاره کرد که تاکنون اینچنین محاسبه نشده است. باید افزود بیشتر مطالبی که در آثار دیگران (پیشینه پژوهش) آمده است، غیرمستقل و بخشی از یک اثر مفصل­تر - از یک تا چندین جلد - هستند که دسترسی به آنها چندان هم آسان نیست، اما در این نوشتار، داده­ها  و نظرات در قالب یک مقاله با عنوان و حجمی محدود به خوانندگان عرضه شده است.

عنوان انگلیسی Number and Arrangement of Troops in the Battle of 'Āshūrā
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The main question in this article concerns the possibility of obtaining accurate or close-to-reality information about the number of troops and casualties of the two armies as well as the captives in the event of 'Āshūrā based on the analysis of historical reports. In addition, the military arrangement of the troops is also discussed. In this article, the historical reports are analyzed to clarify the details and avoid common exaggerations in reporting this event. The outcome of this work would offer more reasonable and reliable numbers. For example, for the first time, some information is offered about the number of the Kūfa troops, which was largely absent in previous studies. It should be noted that the bulk of information reported in other works (in the literature), far from an independent piece of work, is part of a more detailed work – ranging from one to several volumes - which are not readily accessible. In this article, however, the data and commentaries have been gathered in a single article with a focused title and size.
