عنوان انگلیسی *The effect of humic acid on soil physicochemical and biological properties under salinity stress conditions in pot culture of Satureja khuzistanica Jamzad*
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Abstract Aims: High salt accumulation has severe adverse effects on soil fertility. Humic acid can  physically improve the soil structure and increases the water holding capacity. Biologically, it improves of soil microbial communities improves and is chemically enriched as an absorption and maintenance complex for mineral nutrients. Materials and Methods:The experiment was conducted as a factorial based on (RCBD) design with four replications. The first factor included humic acid in five levels (zero, 10, 20, 30 and 40 mg/Kg soil) that was applied to soil before plantation. The second factor was salinity stress in five levels (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 mM NaCl) which was applied after sprouting and establishment of the plants during the fourth leaf stage. To determine the physical, chemical, and characteristics of the soil, The sampling was carried out in two stages before and after harvested. Findings: S1H5 treatment  had the lowest soil electrical conductivity (EC), soil reaction (pH), and bulk density of soil with average values of 0.26 dS/m, 6.21 and 1.12 gr/cm3 respectively and the highest cation exchange capacity with an average of 12.67 meq/100 g of soil. S1H5 treatment had the highest fungal and bacterial population with an average of 1525000 and 137500000 (cell/g of soil) respectively. The lowest population of actinomycetes with an average of 516 (cell/g of soil) and the highest percentage of soil organic matter (2.98%) were observed in S1H5 treatment. Conclusion: Increasing organic matter, including humic acid, is an important management method that can modify soil salinity.
