عنوان فارسی مقایسه ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی تام سرم و بزاق در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع I
چکیده فارسی مقاله سابقه و هدف: دیابت یکی از مهم‌ترین بیماری‌های شایع مزمن است که آمار جهانی آن از جمله در ایران رو به افزایش است. این بیماری چهارمین عامل مرگ و میر در اغلب کشورهای توسعه‌ یافته است. از طرف دیگر تضعیف سیستم دفاع آنتی‌اکسیدانی می‌تواند منجر به بیماری‌های مختلف از جمله دیابت شود؛ که در این پژوهش ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی سرم و بزاق در بیماران دیابتی نوع I در مقایسه با گروه کنترل، جهت ارزش تشخیصی مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه یک مطالعه مقطعی ـ تحلیلی است که افراد تحت مطالعه42 نفر از بیماران دیابتیک نوع I مراجعه کننده به مرکز دیابت اراک به عنوان گروه مورد، با 42 نفر گروه شاهد که از لحاظ سن و جنس و سایر معیارهای ورود با افراد مورد همتا بودند مقایسه شدند. ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی در سرم و بزاق این افراد با استفاده از روش FRAP (Ferric reducing ability of plasma) اندازه‌گیری شد. یافته‌ها: میانگین و انحراف معیار(Mean±SD) ظرفیت تام آنتی‌اکسیدانی سرم و بزاق در افراد مورد به ترتیب 088/0±51/2، 072/0±73/1 و در افراد شاهد به ترتیب 107/0±9/2، 090/0±97/1 بود. نتیجه‌گیری: کاهش ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی تام سرم گروه مورد از لحاظ آماری معنی‌دار بود، ولی کاهش ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی تام بزاق معنی‌دار نبود. به عبارت دیگر در این افراد تولید رادیکال‌های آزاد که احتمالاً می‌تواند زمینه‌ساز بیماری باشد افزایش یافته و بنابراین سیستم دفاع آنتی‌اکسیدانی تضعیف شده است، که برای کاهش آسیب ناشی از رادیکال‌های آزاد توصیه می‌شود این افراد آنتی‌اکسیدان‌های طبیعی بیش‌تری مصرف نمایند.

عنوان انگلیسی Comparison of the total antioxidant capacity of serum and saliva in the type-I diabetic patients
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Introduction: Diabetes is one of the most important common chronic illness which is increasing in the world as an example in Iran. This illness is the fourth factor of death in the most of the developed countries. On the other hand, weakening of the antioxidant defensive system may lead to different diseases such as diabetes which in this study the capacity of antioxidant serum and saliva in diabetics patients of type I in the comparison with the control group is investigated in order to study the diagnostic value. Material and Methods: This is a cross - sectional study in which those under studying are 42 people of type I of diabetics called on to Arak diabetes center as the appointed group compared with 42 people as the control group which were in the same age and sex and other criterions of entrance with the first group. The total antioxidant capacity in serum and saliva of these people were measured by FRAP method. Results: The mean and standard deviation (mean SD) of the total antioxidant capacity of serum and saliva in the case group were in this manner: 2.51 .088, 1.73 .072 and in the control group were: 2.9 .107, 1.97 .090. Conclusion: From the statistical viewpoint the decrease in the total antioxidant capacity of serum in the case group was meaningful, but the decrease in the total antioxidant capacity of saliva was not meaningful. In other words the production of free radicals in case group which can be probably the case of disease has been increased and therefore the antioxidant defensive system has been weakened. It is advised to these people to consume more natural antioxidant in order to decrease the damages caused by free radicals.
