چکیده فارسی مقاله اعلان«خاتمه انقلاب» و آغاز نظام، ‌جلب نمودن توجهات به‌سوی واقعیتِ محقَّقی است که با تمام قطعیت‌هایش، کمتر بدان اذعان ‌شده است؛ در حالی که عطف توجه و اذعان بدان، تأثیرات شایانی در نگاه به واقعیت‌های جاری  و عمل در آن خواهد داشت. سردرگمی در این باب که جامعه ‌ایران همچنان در «انقلاب» به‌سر می‌برد و یا آن را پشت سرگذارده و وارد مرحله‌ «نظام» شده است، تنها دامن‌گیرِ مردم و کارگزاران نیست، ‌بلکه صاحب‌نظران انقلاب و فعالان سیاسی نیز با آن درگیر و درباره آن بلاتکلیفند؛ یا لااقل تا کنون پاسخ صریح و روشنی بدان نداده‌اند. نیل به پاسخی روشن برای این مسأله، مستلزم تأمل در چند مسأله مقدماتی درباره «اصالت انقلاب»،‌ «مبنای تعیین و توقیت نقاط عطف انقلاب»، «مشخصات یک انقلاب پیروز»،‌ «نشانه‌های خاتمت»، «مستلزمات تثبیت و انجاز نظام جدید» و بالاخره «تفاوت‌های دو وضعیت متعارف در ماقبل و مابعد انقلاب» است.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The declaration of "the end of revolution" and beginning of the institution draws the attentions towards an actualized reality, which despite its definiteness has not been properly acknowledged, while paying due attention to it and its acknowledgement will leave considerable impacts on the current realities and practices. Bewilderment with regard to the issue whether the Iranian society is still in "revolution" or has put it behind and entered the stage of "institution" has not only preoccupied the people and the executives, but also the theoreticians and political activists and hence they are in limbo about the revolution or at least have not yet given a clear answer to it. Providing an answer to this question requires reflection on some other fundamental issues such as the "originality of revolution", "basis of determination and delimitation of turning points of revolution", "characteristics of a victorious revolution", "signs of conclusion", "requirements of stabilization of the new system" and finally "the differences between the two conventional conditions before and after the revolution".
