بررسی رابطه غیرخطی فقر و اندازه دولت در اقتصاد ایران با استفاده از روش رگرسیون آستانه‌ای |

با تغییر برخی از اهداف دولت‌ها درگذشته و پررنگ‌تر شدن وظایف رفاهی و حمایتی اقشار مختلف در جامعه، پدیده فقر و رابطه آن با دولت یکی از مباحثی است که همواره موردتوجه متخصصان و سیاست‌گذاران در جوامع توسعه‌یافته و درحال‌توسعه است. در این چارچوب اقدام به بررسی فرضیه وجود رابطه غیرخطی تأثیر اندازه دولت بر فقر برای اقتصاد ایران شده است. بدین منظور عوامل مؤثر بر فقر مطلق با روش رگرسیون آستانه‌ای مدل‌سازی شد. نتایج حاصل از برآورد رگرسیون آستانه‌ای نشان داده است که اندازه دولت تأثیری آستانه‌ای بر فقر مطلق داشته و حد آستانه اندازه دولت حدود 5/21 درصد برآورد شده است؛ به‌عبارت‌دیگر، در رژیم دولت کوچک‌تر از حد آستانه است اندازه دولت تأثیری منفی اما بی‌معنی بر فقر مطلق داشته است، اما پس از عبور از آستانه مذکور و قرار گرفتن در رژیم دولت بزرگ، اندازه دولت تأثیری مثبت و معنی‌دار بر فقر مطلق داشته است و گسترش اندازه دولت موجب تشدید فقر شده است. |

Since government duties and goals have been tended toward welfare and supportive duties over the time, the poverty and role of the government in the reduction it has been the attractive research issue for specialists and policy-makers in developed and developing societies. In this line, we hypothesized that there is a nonlinear relationship between poverty and the size of the government in Iran. The influential factors on extreme poverty are determined by using the threshold regression method. The results show that the size of the government has a threshold effect on extreme poverty. The estimated threshold is about 5.21 percent. In other words, if the size of the government is smaller than the threshold, the size has a negative and insignificant effect on the extreme poverty. In another side, the size of the government has a positive and significant effect on extreme poverty if the size of government is larger than the threshold |
