چکیده فارسی مقاله Considering the rapid developments in Information Technology (IT), one of fundamental needs of organizations today is extensive application of the technology in their different activities, while having adequate flexibility, to cope with the changes in IT. But, the effective application of IT requires an integrative and coordinating framework. such architecture frameworks can facilitate of the activities for importing information technology to organizations. This paper discusses the benefits of using information architecture in organizations. Five major types of frameworks for information architecture are introduced and their strengths and weaknesses are discussed. Following the introduction of each framework, the key considerations in their application are listed.
