عنوان فارسی سیاست و عمارت: معماری و سیاست میانه قاجار در آیینۀ دو اثر مکتوب از ممتحن‌الدوله
چکیده فارسی مقاله میرزامهدی‌خان شقاقی، معروف به ممتحن‌الدوله، مهندس و سیاستمدارِ فرنگ‌رفته عهد ناصری و از چهره‌های شناخته‌شده این دوره است. وی دو اثر مکتوب با عنوان خاطرات ممتحن‌الدوله و مآثر مهدیه دارد که یکی خاطرات خودنوشت او و دیگری کتابی شناخته‌شده در حوزه سیاست خارجی است. جایگاه و فعالیت‌های ممتحن‌الدوله در حوزه معماری و سیاست و محتوای دو اثر او موقعیت مغتنمی است برای بررسی تا از طریق آنها بتوان شناخت بهتری از دوره قاجار کسب کرد. این شناخت اگرچه از دریچه آثار و افعال ممتحن‌الدوله است و ممکن است به تمامی قابل تعمیم به عموم جامعه دوره قاجار نباشد، امکان شناخت و بازنمایی از زاویه‌ای خاص را فراهم می‌کند. همچنین این شناخت حول دو موضوع معماری و سیاست است. معماری و سیاست دو ساحت از زندگی اجتماعی انسان است که در هر دو آگاهی و ارادۀ انسانی به ظهور می‌رسد و از این بابت به‌هم‌مرتبط است و مطالعۀ این دو در کنار هم می‌تواند احوال جامعه را بهتر آشکار کند. لذا هدف از این پژوهش بررسی معماری و سیاست در دورۀ حیات ممتحن‌الدوله از خلال آثار او است تا از این طریق بتوان شناخت بهتری از احوال جامعۀ ایران در این پاره از زمان کسب کرد. این بررسی با محوریت دو اثر مکتوب میرزامهدی‌خان شقاقی صورت می‌گیرد. روش پژوهش تحلیل موضوعی است. حاصل این پژوهش شناخت صفات و احوال جامعۀ این دوره است؛ صفاتی مانند نوخواهی و تقلید، فرنگی‌مآبی و ناخشنودی از آن، وطن‌دوستی و کاهش اعتماد و سرمایۀ اجتماعی، خدمت و خیانت. این صفات در مجموع از یک تضاد و تعارض درونی، به مثابه شاه‌بیت این دوره از نگاه ممتحن‌الدوله خبر می‌دهد. مقاله در چهار قسمت تنظیم شده است. پس از مقدمه، ابتدا ممتحن‌الدوله و دو اثر مکتوب او معرفی شده است. در بخش سوم، که بخش اصلی مقاله است، محتوا و مضامین دو اثر بحث و صفات و احوالی که از وضع معماری و سیاست قابل استخراج است، طرح و بحث و در انتهای مقاله جمع‌بندی شده است.

عنوان انگلیسی Architecture and Politics in Qajar Era through Two Written Works of Momtahin Al-Dawlah
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Known as Momtahin al-Dowlah, Mirza Mahdi Khān Shaqāqi is an engineer and politician of the Qajar era. He has two written works titled Khātirāt-e-Momtahin (Memoirs of Momtahin) and Ma’āsir-e-Mahdīeh (Admirable Works of Mahdī), one of which is his autobiography and the other is a well-known book in the field of foreign policy. His position and activities in architecture and politics and the content of his two works are a great opportunity to get a better understanding of the Qajar era. Although narrowed by Shaqāqi’s works and actions and may not be generalizable to the whole society of the Qajar period, the study provides historical knowledge from a specific viewpoint. Also, it revolves around two issues of architecture and politics. Architecture and politics are two areas of human social life that emerge in both human consciousness and will, so they are interrelated, and studying these together can better reveal the state of society. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the architecture and politics during the life of Momtahin al-Dowlah through his works, so that in this way we can get a better understanding of the state of Iranian society in that time. This review is based on the two written works of Mirza Mahdi Khān Shaqāqi. The research method is thematic analysis. The result of this research is to know the characteristics and conditions of the society of this period; Traits such as innovation and imitation, patriotism and reduction of trust and social capital, imitation of the West and dissatisfaction with it, favor and treason. These attributes, as a whole, indicate an internal contradiction and conflict, from the viewpoint of Momtahin al-Dowlah. The article is arranged in four parts. After the introduction, firstly Momtahin al-Dowlah and his two written works are introduced. In the third part, which is the main part of the article, the content and themes of the two works are discussed and the characteristics and situations that can be extracted from the architectural and political situation are discussed and finally summarized at the end part.
