بررسی وضعیت انتشار مقاله از پایان‌نامه‌های دفاع شده در دانشکده پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان در فاصله سال‌های ۱۳۸۶-۱۳۷۲ |

چکیده زمینه و هدف: پایان‌نامه به منزله فعالیتی پژوهشی و به عنوان آخرین بخش دوره دکتری حرفه‌ای پزشکی، از نظر تولید علم و تکنولوژی بسیار با اهمیت است. بنابراین، هدف از انجام این بررسی، تعیین درصد انتشار پایان‌نامه‌های دفاع شده در دانشکده پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان در فاصله سال‌های 1386-1372 در مجلات علمی- پژوهشی می‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه پیگیر ( Follow up ) با روش سرشماری، تعداد 502 پایان‌نامه دفاع شده مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. ابتدا اطلاعات هر پایان‌نامه در فرم جمع‌آوری اطلاعات ثبت شد و سپس برای تعیین سرنوشت پایان‌نامه، تعدادی پایگاه‌های داده داخلی و خارجی مورد جستجو قرار گرفت. داده‌ها با استفاده از روش‌های آمار توصیفی و تحلیلی (آزمون‌های مجذور کای، t و همبستگی) مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند . یافته‌ها: از تعداد 502 پایان‌نامه دفاع شده، 106مورد (1/21%) در مجلات علمی تحت داوری همتایان منتشر و در پایگاه‌های علمی قابل جستجو نمایه شده بودند. در مجموع در 13 دپارتمان علوم پایه و بالینی، به ترتیب 111 پایان‌نامه (1/22%) و 391 پایان‌نامه (9/77%) انجام شده بود. به 359 پایان‌نامه (5/71%) نمره‌ای بین 20-19 تعلق گرفته بود؛ اما پایان‌نامه‌هایی که در سال‌های اخیر دفاع شده بودند در مقایسه با پایان‌نامه‌های قدیمی‌تر از نمره بهتری برخوردار بودند. میانگین فاصله زمانی بین سال دفاع و سال انتشار مقاله برابر با 31/2 ± 9/2 سال بود. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد اگرچه نسبت مقالات منتشر شده از پایان‌نامه‌های دوره پزشکی عمومی در دانشکده پزشکی رفسنجان، وضعیت خیلی نامطلوبی ندارد اما تا وضعیت ایده‌آل هنوز فاصله زیادی دارد. رفع مشکلات پژوهشی اعضای هیأت علمی بالینی و استفاده از اساتید علوم پایه در راهنمایی پایان‌نامه‌های بالینی می‌تواند راهکار مناسبی برای بهبود وضعیت انتشار این پایان‌نامه‌ها باشد. واژه‌های کلیدی: پایان‌نامه، انتشار، مقاله ، دانشکده پزشکی |

A Survey on the Status of Article Publication from Defended Medical Theses in Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences, School of Medicine During 1993-2007 |

Background and Objectives: Thesis as a research activity and also the final part of the curriculum of medical students may be a vital source for the production of science and technology. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the percentage of students' theses approved for the MD degree in Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences (RUMS) that published in the peer-reviewed Journals between 1993-2007. Materials and Methods: In this Follow up study, all 502 defended theses in Rafsanjan School of Medicine were investigated. The data were firstly collected in the designed checklists. The Iranian and international databases were then searched to determine how many of these theses had been published. Data were analyed by descriptive statistics and analytical (χ2, t student and correlation) methods. Results: Out of 502 theses, 106 cases (21.1%) had been published in peer-reviewed journals and indexed in the searchable databases . In all 13 departments of basic and clinical sciences , 111 ( 22.1%) and 391 theses ( 77.9%) were fulfilled, respectively . Three hundred and fifty nine theses (71.5%) had obtained a score between 19 and 20 (out of 20). Theses performed in the recent years had obtained higher scored than the older ones . The mean time between the defense time of the theses and their publications was 2.9 ± 2.31 years . Conclusions: The results of this study showed that the proportion of published articles extracted from theses was relatively satisfactory but far from the ideal condition . Resolving research problems of clinical academic members as well as for clinical theses , receiving professional supervision or consultation from professors of departments of basic sciences is suggested to improve the publication rates.
